Broadcasting Authority of Ireland - Significant Change
The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland was established on 1st October 2009 to regulate content across all broadcasting, assuming the roles previously held by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) and the Broadcasting Complaints Commission (BCC).
Origin co-ordinated a rebrand process whereby the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland and Broadcasting Complaints Commission became the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI). Working closely with the staff and steering group we developed an identity design based on two speech marks that overlap in the ‘marque’ implying conversation and engagement. The new identity was rolled out across all communications collateral and brand guidelines were developed to be used internally and externally.
Origin develop and design all communications for the BAI and projects range from website design and maintenance, environmental and exhibition signage to bespoke projects involving concept to completion such as the internal training material for file management.
The plan for the BAI marque was to manage the design so that the marque and acronym would become distinctive as standalone graphic. This has been achieved and we are now considering the next step forward for BAI as an entity at the heart of a vibrant broadcasting landscape.
